FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Here are the questions we hear most often from first-time renters.

Do I need prior overlanding or 4x4 experience?
Nope. Our rigs and guides are designed for beginners who are comfortable driving on maintained forest roads. We’ll walk you through setup, safety, and how to choose appropriate routes.
Can I camp anywhere I want on National Forest or BLM land?
Not quite. There are designated dispersed camping zones, stay limits, seasonal closures, and fire restrictions. Our Overlanding 101 resources and pre-trip briefing cover how to stay legal and respectful.
What’s included with the rig and what do I need to bring?
We provide the rig, sleep system, kitchen setup, basic camp furniture, and core safety gear. You bring clothing, food, water refills, and any personal extras. Each rig page includes a detailed packing checklist.
Where do I pick up and drop off the rig?
Rigs are picked up and returned in the Seattle area. Exact location and timing details are shared once your booking is confirmed.
